Fitting Instructions

Fingersafe® USA door hinge shield is easy to install and can be completed in a short time using a standard power drill and drill bits.

It is essential that these instructions be followed carefully. We cannot accept liability or responsibility for incorrect installations.
Fingersafe® provides a safe, reliable fix to preventing door injuries. Our products fit in most doors and are inexpensive compared to cost of medical bills or lawsuits.
Fingersafe® can be installed in 99% of today’s doors except double swing doors and sliding doors.

MK1-A

Also called the “push side” of the hinged end, “inside” piece or “front side”.

Installation Video

Fitting Tip

Fingersafe® is designed to protect the entire length of the door. When measuring your doors for Fingersafe® door hinge guards, start from the top hinged side of the door and measure to the bottom of the door. The MK1A door hinge guard covers the push side, if you are facing the door. The MK1B covers the pull side of the door, where the barrels of the hinges are exposed. Fingersafe® can be custom cut on site, or contact us for a custom size. Our pinch guards for doors are perfect because they provide protection and provide minimal interruption to the looks and operation of the door itself.
